Admissions

roomsAt Frederick House we will where possible take new admissions, whether it be long or short term, whether for respite or rehabilitation.

Any individual showing interest to reside at Frederick House will have a pre-admission assessment of their care needs, which will be carried out by the management team or a competent member of staff who have been trained to undertake the task of Resident assessment. This will enable us to ensure that we are able to meet your needs and give you, your family and friend’s reassurance and peace of mind. One of our management team will have assessed the potential residents’ needs to establish that Frederick House has the expertise and resources to fully meet the individuals’ needs.

Only once management are confident that Frederick House is able to meet the potential resident’s needs are they offered a place at Frederick House. On the day of admission, the room will have been prepared for our new resident, so that they will feel at home and any special requirements will have been attended to.

We aim to complete all assessments prior to any admission, however in the event of an emergency admission, we will complete an initial assessment on arrival and then the full assessment will be completed within 48 hours of your admission.
We are also happy to have potential Residents stay with us on a temporary basis, so that you can assess for yourself if this is the right place for you. Or to visit Frederick House as many times as you like, and we welcome you bringing your family and friends also. However, this would be dependent on availability of our rooms.

Where a person is referred through care management arrangements of the Local Authority their individual needs are initially assessed by either NHS or Social Services staff. In such cases Frederick House receives a summary of that assessment and a copy of the Care Plan produced by the care assessment team. We will still need to complete our own assessment process.
